 Fast Start Fun ...Please take some time to sing this week's song and complete some or all of the family activities.

Monday

 

Reading -  Hearts: Read Scruffy Will Help Sam  (worksheet in your green folder). Complete the comprehension activities on the back. Circles, Squares and Triangles: Read for 10 minutes, your choice!

Spelling - Write this week's spelling words in your homework notebook. Practice spelling them!

Vocabulary - Choose 2 or 3 words from the vocabulary list below. Start a new story using them. Remember to start with your main idea!

Math - Practice counting with mixed coins. Remember to sort them first and to always begin with the coins that are worth the most. Complete workbook page 109.

Social Studies - Study for Unit 3 test.

Religion - Please write and complete this sentence: Grandparents are a blessing because______________. One reflection will be chosen and read aloud at the Grandparent's Day Liturgy. (Use the lined paper in your green folder.)

Reading - All: Write your High-Frequency Words on colored index cards. Practice reading them!

Spelling - Write this week's spelling words on white flashcards. Practice spelling them!

Vocabulary - Choose 2 or 3 more words from the vocabulary list below. Add to your story by writing one or two more sentences using those words. What will happen next?

Math - Practice counting mixed coins. Complete workbook page 110.

 

Wednesday

 

Reading - All: Practice reading your High-Frequency Words + 10 more.

Spelling - Put this week's words in ABC order. Practice spelling them!

Vocabulary - Choose 2 or 3 more words from the vocabulary list below. Add to your story by writing one or two more sentences using those words. Remember to "stick" to your main idea!

Math - Practice counting with mixed coins. Tomorrow is our Chapter test on Money! Complete workbook page 111.

 

Thursday

 

Reading - ALL: Read Bluebirds in the Garden and Frog and toad Together in your reader. Complete page 33 in your reader. Write at least 3 good sentences using adjectives to describe your garden. Underline your adjectives. Illustrate. (Use the story paper in green folder.)

Spelling - Study for your Spelling Test!

Vocabulary - Choose 2 or 3 more words from the vocabulary list below. Write 1 or 2 more sentences using those words. Finish your story with a good ending!

Math - Continue to practice counting money. Complete workbook page 112.
